- Sign up for The Met Store’s newsletter. Scroll down the homepage until you see the red box with "Sign up for News and Special Offers" listed next to it. Input your email to stay updated with The Met Store sales and events.
- Shop in The Met Store’s Clearance Department. Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage. You’ll find "Clearance" under "More Ways to Shop."
- If you’re a student, you are entitled to a 15% discount at The Met Store. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage, look under "Customer Service" and click on "Student Discount." You’ll be asked to register with Student Beans, who will verify that you are a student and give you a promotion code to use.
- Metropolitan Museum members get a 10% discount at The Met Store.
Does The Met Store Have Free Shipping?
From time to time, The Met Store offers free shipping with a minimum purchase. During most of the year you will have to pay for shipping. The store charges a flat rate for standard shipping to the U.S, territories and APO/FPO addresses and to Canada. There may be additional charges for oversized items. The Met Store also has a flat rate for shipping outside the U.S. and Canada.
What Is The Met Store’s Return Policy?
You have 180 days to return merchandise that is still in saleable condition. A return/exchange form is included with every order.

About The Met Store
The Met Store is the museum shop of the renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. When the store opened in 1870, it offered etchings of European paintings. By the end of WWI, the store featured jewelry, Christmas cards and other items inspired by The Met’s collection. Today you will also find home decor, glassware, scarves and other museum-inspired products. In addition to its online presence, The Met Store has four brick-and-mortar stores in the New York area as well as one in Australia and one in Bangkok, Thailand.
