Amazon is offering a 6-month free trial of Amazon Prime for students. After the 6-month free trial, Amazon Prime is offering a 50% discount off of Prime membership for the rest of your career as a student. To claim the free trial & 50% discount, you’ll need to be a student and meet the eligibility requirements by proving you have an active student email. You are eligible for a Prime Student account even if you already have an Amazon account. If you do not have an active student account, you can create a free Student Prime Account.
Once you create an account, you will be redirected to the Prime Student page, where you can verify you are an active student. If you do not have a valid .edu email address, you will need to provide documentation that you are enrolled in a valid college or university by providing a class list, report card, or student ID to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you have verified your student credentials, you will be asked to put a valid credit card on file. After your 6-month free trial, Amazon will begin billing you for Prime at a 50% discounted rate (currently $6.49/month). You will need to cancel your Prime membership if you do not want to be automatically charged once the free trial ends.
Once this is completed, you will have full access to all the benefits of Amazon Prime!
