For many shoppers, Target isn’t just a store — it’s a destination. With affordable, chic brands such as Wild Fable, All in Motion, Threshold and Smartly, you can find everything you need for your home and wardrobe all in one place. So any Target fan should know about the biggest savings event of the year: Target Deal Days.
What Is Target Deal Days?
Like Target’s version of Prime Day, Deals Days is an annual multi-day sales event that’s open to everyone, no membership fee required. Shoppers can find thousands of deals across all categories, including home, electronics, apparel and beauty, food and beverage, toys and more.
Some examples of discounts available during the last Target Deal Days include:
- $120 off the Element 55″ Smart TV (reg. $449.99)
- Up to 60% off video games
- Buy one, get one 40% off select nursery furniture
- 30% off Bed Head hair tools
- Spend $50 on food and beverage, get a $10 gift card with same-day services
- And much more
In addition to major discounts on Target products, the event also features free shipping deals with no minimum purchase amount required.
When Do Target Deal Days Take Place?
In years past, Target Deal Days occurred over the summer and took place exclusively online. In 2020, the sales occurred over two days.
This year, however, Deal Days were bumped to October (to coincide with Amazon’s Prime Days). Target sale days also took place over three days, from 10/10 to 10/12, for an additional 24 hours of savings. Discounts were rolled out over that time period.
Another big change in 2021: In addition to offering deals via Target.com and the app, Deal Days also took place in more than 1,900 Target stores nationwide.
There’s no word yet on when the next Target Deal Days is scheduled to happen. You can sign up for Target emails to stay up to date on the latest news regarding Deal Days and other important events. Like Target’s Black Friday sale, which has already started.
How to Maximize Target Deal Days Savings
Whether you’re looking to get a head start on holiday shopping or simply save on everyday necessities, the Deal Days event is a great opportunity to save big on your favorite Target products and brands.
The 2021 event may be over, but you can get ready for next year’s Target Deal Days with these insider tips for maximizing your savings:
Get to know the Holiday Price Match Guarantee. Target recently launched a new Holiday Price Match Guarantee, which kicked off at the same time as its Deal Days and runs through December 24. This allows shoppers to request a price adjustment on just about any item purchased at Target between Oct. 10 and Dec. 24 if the price gets lowered later in the season. So if you scored a great deal during Target’s Deal Days and the item drops even further in price before Christmas, you can rest assured that Target will refund you the difference. A handful of items, such as clearance, damaged, used or refurbished products, are excluded. Be sure you get the full rundown on how Target’s holiday price matching works so you can save as much as possible during the holiday season.
Sign up for the Target RedCard. Available as either a debit or credit card, spending with the Target RedCard automatically saves you 5% on purchases. It also comes with free shipping every day, not just during Target Deal Days. Cardholders also get access to exclusive deals, and have an extra 30 days for returns and exchanges.
Join Target Circle. Formerly known as Cartwheel, Circle is Target’s free loyalty program. You can earn 1% back on eligible purchases made with a non-RedCard, and redeem those earnings toward future purchases. Members also gain access to special deals and bonuses, as well as an annual birthday gift. Plus, everytime you shop with Circle, you gain a vote, which allows you to have a say in where Target gives in your community.
Subscribe to Target emails. Deal Days may have already taken place this year, but 2022 is fast approaching and you can be ready to jump on next year’s deals. Subscribing to Target emails will help you stay on top of important dates, as well as exclusive offers and weekly ad reminders all year long.
The next Target Deal Days is sure to impress, so be on the lookout for future dates. And in the meantime, remember you can save money all year long with Target coupons and promo codes.
